Note - I originally wrote this in August 2025. I would do anything to go back to that time and boogie down. We’re having a blizzard in February right now. LOL.

August sometimes bums me out. What once seemed like a possibility of a never ending summer gets slapped upside the head with the reality of the calendar. Time is both real and moves faster than anyone wants to admit.

So to help deal with that, I made a Summer Funk playlist to help me get out of the funk. Almost all these songs are from the 70s, but I tried to mix genres and artists so that it’s eclectic; fusion, jazz, R&B, soul, disco, rock, vocal jazz, it’s all here, and there’s barely any repeat artists.

So if you’re anything like me, or if you’re look for an end-of-summer playlist that’ll maximize the good vibes, don’t be in a funk, get funky.
