Track 31: Arizona - Wunderhorse
There's a wind that blows to Boston...
Wunderhorse is a band I haven’t been able to get enough of since I heard Teal from their debut album. There isn’t a song on their follow up album Midas that matches it, but there’s plenty of tunes that fall into my favorite genres - sad dude tracks: a Wunderhouse speciality.
Arizona is absolutely a sad dude track, and it also gets bonus points for mentioning Boston. What can I say? I’m a sucker for the hometown mentions.
Sung with conviction and performed with a grittiness, it’s an album highlight, and I’m looking forward to catching it live next month.
